*Susan Porter was a professor at OSU-Lima. Each year until her untimely death, she produced one of the best dulcimer festivals in the United States, the Great Black Swamp Dulcimer Festival which was attended by most dulcimer enthusiasts in Ohio and from other states as well. Doctor Susan recorded many of the classes, stage performances, and some of the informal jams and other activities. These recordings are archived in the "Susan Porter Collection" housed in the American Music Research Center, University of Colorado Music Library. Jerry Rockwell is a nationally recognized dulcimer player and builder who lives and works in Ohio and is still a featured instructor at music festivals throughout the US and elsewhere. His work is represented at his web site:
