Scope & Content Rev. Edwin Boardman (1892 to 1968) was a member of the faculty of Sahlnd Theological Seminary and an ordained minister in the Brethren Church. He was a 1929 graduate of Iowa State Teacher's College. He received degrees of B. Th, M. Th and M.A. in history at Pinceton University 1931 & 1932. He completed residence work at Temple University. He was a member of Pi Gamma Mu (Honorary Historical) 1929. He was an Ashland College graduate June 1929.

Rev. Boardman was ordained January 2, 1916 to the christian ministry in the First Brethren Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia. He served student pastorates in Acceide, Marryland, Terra Alta, West Virginia; Gretna, Ohio; and Middlebranch, Ohio. He served full time Brethren pastorates in Hudson, Iowa; Accident, Maryland; Terra Alta, West Virginia; Hagerstown, Maryland. Interim pastorates at Canton, Louisville, and Ashland, Ohio. He served the Mifflin EUB Church as interim for a number of years. From 1922 to 24 Rev. Boardman served as a Brethrenef Misionary to Argentina.

In 1922 he married Muriel Gertrude Welstead. They had one boy and three Girls.
